Anonymous asked: A country has the government it deserves. Most Venezuelan people are ignorant, lazy, selfish and corrupt. Doesn't matter who has the power, banana countries like those will always be a disaster. It's shame since that land is so rich in natural resources...
Thanks buddy, this is a really helpful insight.

There have been protests everyday since Wednesday, at first it was to protest against the imprisonment and torture of students, as well as many other reasons Venezuelans have to complain about like insecurity, corruption, indoctrination of public workers and officers, censorship and the overall rejection people who oppose this government must endure from its leaders. But on Wednesday the protest ended up in violence - we still don’t know whose fault it really was - and the government took really extreme measures to contain the protestants. There’s been a media black-out, none of this is making it neither local or international television. Human rights are being violated, that’s why we protest. We want the paramilitary groups disarmed, we want the government to take responsibility for their actions. This is no longer a political protest. We want the government to defend everyone’s human rights just as it is stipulated in the Constitution.

many things happened. The school was terrible; most of my classmates were med student wannabes who had to settle for Biology, this made the teachers really discouraging. It wasn’t a great place to be in every day, I got tired. I still love natural sciences and do conservation volunteering though, maybe Biology wasn’t for me, it’s OK.
